Additional Info: Experience & Qualifications:
* Post secondary degree with a concentration in accounting
* 2 plus years in a similar role or in public accounting practice
* Aspiring CPA student, recent CPA graduate, CFE finalist/Student
* Working knowledge of Microsoft office, especially Excel
* Ability to work independently and as a collaborative team member
* Strong organizational and communication skills

Responsibilities: These responsibilities include, but not limited to:
* Key general ledger account reconciliations with supporting working papers
* Month end accruals and journal entries
* Enter in yearly budgets into accounting software
* Run and email monthly , quarterly and yearly financial reports for key stakeholders
* Investigate variances compared to budget as needed
* Review aged payables and receivables listing with the CFO to assist with managing cash flow
* Liaison with year-end financial statement auditors and coordinate information needed to complete the annual audit
* Assist in T4 preparation and conciliation back to CRA records
* Assist in completing financial reports needed for external funders such as Indigenous Service Canada
* Assist the CFO in financial policy and procedures development and implementation
