Home Instead Senior Care is hiring caring and compassionate individuals who want to help older adults remain at home in the Chester and Mahone Bay area. As a CAREGiver, you will help our clients tackle the various cognitive and physical challenges associated with aging, while enabling them to maintain their independence and quality of life.

While the exact services you deliver will depend on your skills, personality, and the needs of our clients, potential duties include:

Companionship and conversation
Light housekeeping tasks and meal preparation
Medication and appointment reminders
Accompanying clients to appointments
Contributing to a positive living environment to enhance a client’s quality of life
Dementia and Alzheimer's support
Personal Care
Mobility assistance

Required Skills:

Home Instead Senior Care commits to ongoing skill development by providing paid training and ongoing support. Daytime, evening, overnight and weekend hours are offered. Shifts are between 4 and 12 hours in length, and occur on a weekly ongoing basis. Group medical benefits with employer contributions are also available.

Candidates must be fluent in written and spoken English and, upon hire, provide a clear criminal background check and vulnerable sector check.
