JOB TITLE: “Carpenter / Supervisor ”
REPORTS TO: Manager


POSITION SUMMARY:
Our company requires a responsible and qualified Carpenter and/or Apprentice Carpenter for immediate employment opportunities in the Liverpool area.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The “Carpenter” is responsible for:

• The Construction of new home builds and the repair of existing home renovation projects
• Work with management and team to quote new projects
• Supervise projects and staff on multiple work sites

MAIN FUNCTION:
• Follow blueprints and building plans to meet the needs of clients
• Install structures and fixtures, such as windows and molding
• Measure, cut, or shape wood, plastic, and other materials
• Construct building frameworks, including walls, floors, and doorframes
• Help erect, level, and install building framework with the aid of rigging hardware and cranes
• Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures
• Instruct and direct labourer’s and other construction helpers

Required Skills:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must have reliable transportation, valid NS drivers license, and basic carpentry tools
• Preference to Journeyman status or 3rd year apprentices
• Certifications, e.g. Fall arrest, Scaffolding, preferred but willing to train

Physically Demanding employment requiring climbing, lifting and physical duties

• Work Environment:
Working in all weather conditions at construction sites
