JOB TITLE: Construction Labourer
REPORTS TO: Supervisor / Foreman

POSITION SUMMARY:
We are presently recruiting for Construction Labourers to join our growing team. The work is in the Liverpool area, full time, and requires a strong work ethic. We pay competitive wages and there is opportunity for advancement within the company. Our company benefit plan is available after 3 months.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Construction Labourer is responsible for:

• Help construct new homes & builds
• Some concrete and ground prep may be required
• Driving company vehicles for supplies and equipment transfers.
• Following the direction of management and supervisors on all job sites



Required Skills:

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

The Construction Labourer must know:
• Safe and proper use of all tools and equipment (training provided)
• Basic knowledge of construction new and old

The Construction Labourer should be able to:
• Drive the company vehicle (when and if required)
• Prioritize and multitask across various duties
• Use their time effectively to fulfill the expectations for the work day
• Use all power equipment in a safe and productive manner
• Maintain equipment and report any mechanical problems to manager
• Work in all types of weather, use scaffolding, ladders and be prepared to work at heights

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
The Construction Labourer should possess the following qualifications:
• Current First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Must possess a valid driver’s license (minimum Class Five)

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES The Construction Labourer should demonstrate the following competencies:

• Oral communication – to receive directions from management and supervisors, and respond to customer questions, concerns or complaints in a polite and effective manner

The typical physical demands of the Construction Labourer Worker include:

May be required to lift and move items and equipment weighing upwards of 27kgs/60lbs
