Job Overview

Our Farm workers need to be physically capable to work outdoors in a range of temperatures and weather conditions. Our mixed livestock farm breeds and raises a specialized variety of beef, pork, chickens and lamb to ready for our markets. Daily tasks may vary with 75% of the work being on the farm and 25% in our butcher shop and fresh markets.

Responsibilities and Duties
 Animal feeding and care
 Cleaning and organization of barns and feed areas
 Use of farm equipment and tools
 Assistance with crop growing and harvesting
 Assistance with butcher shop duties and product packaging
 Some land preparation and clearing duties

Required Skills:


 Experience in Farming, working with animals and related duties preferred
 Capable of operating required farm equipment and tools in a safe and responsible manner
 Ability to work both independently, and as part of a team
 Ability to walk, stand, crouch for long periods of time and carry out strenuous physical tasks
 Must have a valid NS Drivers license and have reliable transportation to and from the Farm

Essential Functions

 Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines
 Working outdoors in various conditions including heat and humidity, rain, dust, noise, and cold

$15.00 - $16.00 per hour depending on experience, Full time employment of 35 to 40 hours/week training provided where required
