Responsibilities: Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor you are required to safely perform quality maintenance work and repair of equipment.

Education Required:
Years of Experience Required: 2-5 years of experience in maintenance in an industrial environment.

Sawmill experience is desirable.

Experience working with stationary equipment used in some type of production process.

Ability to work in a team environment that is committed to working safe, while focused on improving production and maintaining quality.
Stick welding ability is an asset.

Proficiency in hydraulic and pneumatic troubleshooting is an asset.
Strong interpersonal skills are required.

Be available to work on shifts day, evening, or night. (Monday to Friday and weekend).

Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for maintenance and repair of machinery and mechanical equipment.

Machine troubleshooting, repair, assembly, and preventative maintenance.

Repair or replace chains; belt conveyors; gear boxes/drive chains; hydraulics & pneumatics; welding/cutting; and using power tools.
Inspect and investigate to determine the root cause of the failure or malfunction of machinery in order to perform corrective repairs and take preventable actions.

Respond to emergencies when mechanical problems occur at the operation.
