Manpower is currently hiring for Production Labourers to work at a facility in Lunenburg starting Monday August 3rd!

The job will consist of manual labour such as lifting and moving boxes, breaking down boxes, and gathering waste. It also involves assisting in production by filling machines with product, weighing and mixing recipes, sawing raw materials, operating equipment and other related duties.

Hours for these positions vary depending on business needs and can be part-time to full time. Hours are not guaranteed, but there is a lot of work available – associates who do well (are very reliable, catch on quickly, etc.) typically get full time hours, though sometimes there will be slower weeks where there are not as many hours to go around. This company operates on a daily schedule – you could be asked to work day shift, evening shift or night shift, and you need to check the schedule each day to know when you are expected to work (either by checking the posted schedule at the plant or by calling the schedule phone line).

These jobs pay $16.50/hour on the day shift, $17.10/hour on the evening shift and $17.20/hour on the night shift. They also offer OT pay on Saturday and after 40 hours worked in a week, and double time on Sunday. They are contract positions through Manpower at a well-respected company in Lunenburg. The company offers great potential for long term career opportunities. Many workers who start off on contract end up with permanent positions down the road, so this is a great opportunity to get your foot in the door.
