Bridgewater Adult High School, in collaboration with Nova Scotia Department of Adult Education (Labour, Skills and Immigration) is pleased to announce Leading Edge Career Training.  This is an 8 week pilot program aimed at providing technology and skills training to individuals 18+ that are unemployed or underemployed.  The program will teach specific skills related to Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint in addition to Internet safety and Email etiquette.  Other employment skills such as interpersonal skills, time management and social skills will also be covered.  With these additional skills, participants will have a greater chance of gaining and maintaining meaningful employment in the 21st century.

Our course will run weekly, starting on October 20th, at 6pm.

In collaboration with YREACH, we will be at the Better Together Family Resource Centre, 821 King Street, Unit 11, Bridgewater, on 3 Fridays in November (5th, 12th & 19th) from 9am to 11am, facilitating group sessions that will help empower and improve your job search.  Included in these sessions:

  • Support and networking
  • Job leads
  • Job Search tools to get there
  • Resume and Cover Letter building blocks to showcase your strengths
  • Prep for interviews
